Knackered Triton Shower

Hi all,

I've got a simple Triton 9.5kw shower, nothing fancy, and when i turn it on it runs for a minute but then makes and odd noise, water stops flowing, basically packs up. Not every time, but increasingly so. We have no other issues with the electrics or the water supply or pressure. Its not in warranty and probably about 5 or 6 years old, and used daily, often multiple times, so is well used.

Is it even worth getting someone in to look at it bearing in mind I can probably buy a replacement for about £60 and have it fitted in an hour?

You have answered your own question, just replace it.

Many problems with Triton showers are caused when the filter becomes a little blocked or Hard water/limescale. Can you isolate it turn the water off and check this in the first instance

Oh right, well I shall give that a try!

And fit a Water Softener if you don't already have one..
