Knocking clutch - Update

Well, the knocking noise came back today for all of 5 minutes then stopped again! Funny thing is, it was also knocking away even when the clutch wasn't depressed. It's been fine since my original post (below). Could it be something else loose near to the clutch perhaps? FWIW it's never struggling to select gear even when it's making that horrendous noise!!

Citroen Dispatch 2.0HDi 57 plate, 51k miles.

Noticed the clutch making a knocking noise (can feel rumbling on the pedal), earlier today. Had to make a 200 mile journey. By the end, it had stopped.

Please someone just lie to me and tell me I don't need a new clutch.

think you just need to top your water level up not change the clutch

You don't need a new clutch!!
I sincerly hope you don't need a new dual mass flywheel either....keep an ear out - if there is a fault, it will be back.

I would stop spending your money chap as its not the dual mass flywheel that's gone and you won't end up with a bill of around £500 +. For the fault you have not got.
