Hi,

Hope someone can help.

Recently had a new boiler fitted, which is fine but after a few days we started getting a loud knocking from the pipes upstairs. Sounds like it's from the front and seems to be in the same place when it happens.
Only ever does it when the heatings on not when it goes on to heating the water.
When the heating comes on first thing all's quiet for the first twenty mins or so (seems to start sooner on colder days) then it starts knocking (loud) for 10 -20 knocks, stops then a series of tiny tapping, then nothing for a couple of mins then it starts again with the loud knocking etc.
All the rads are hot and have no air trapped in them.
The central heating pump is running fine too.

Any ideas?
