Knocking Noise

Taken me a while but got both replaced today for £42 and it's great to drive without the constant knock, knock, knock.

Thanks for the answer that the drop links were the cause, realitively cheap components can cause a lot of worry, it's nice when the cure is quite simple.

Sounds good value.

What my neighbour (car mechanic) advised me to do with droplinks was to unbolt one end. There always seems to be an end that is easy to undo. Then lever the straight bit of the droplink until its balljoint pops apart. Having done that you can then get some Molegrips on the balljoint and undo the nut with a spanner. Saves p***ing about with hex/torx keys.

I can't remember what car I last did the drop links on, but this technique cuts the time down to about 20 minutes a side including taking the wheel off.
