Labour receive another kicking at the ballot box.

Do you see athletes who win a silver medal at the Olympics as losers? At the next Olympics they can turn that silver into gold.
They should have won this hands down. But FAILED

Poor analogy to an athlete when it's winner takes all.

In politics 2nd place isn't good enough

3rd in athletes gets you bronze.

2nd or 3rd in politics gets you no more than you had before.

Seriously they should have won. Opinion polls etc.

People are still getting used to them, they'll get there eventually.

Maybe, but I don't think so . Time will tell.

Noisy opposition maybe, as they currently are
I agree time will tell, but even if they dont get in they will ruffle a few feathers along the way and I think that is needed

Tactical voting appears to have kept them out. People saying anybody but them. If so, they LOST.

Speaking of suggestions Plaid Cymru's success was the result of a tactical vote, party leader Rhun Ap Iorwerth told BBC Radio Wales Breakfast he saw plenty of evidence of tactical voting, but “nobody could deny getting half of the vote is a positive vote towards your party”.

“We saw over recent weeks that movement towards Plaid Cymru becoming clearer, in the backdrop of course the of deep, deep disillusionment with Labour, both with Keir Starmer in Westminster, and the Welsh Labour government.”

Iorweth said he experienced hundreds and hundreds of people that have traditionally supported Labour and other parties in the past tell him they are going to back Plaid this time.

I voted for Brexit because I knew nothing and was easily taken in by the lies in the Telegraph, I admit my mistake.

but I became informed, whereas people like Mottie are still being taken in by the lies. Mottie does not admit his mistake

the people who were conned by brexit are now desperate to be conned by Reform

Hum. You trust a single source of information?

Imho neither side put up a decent argument

I wonder if the plaid cymru leader will be on every single news channel for the next two or three weeks now.

hum, I paraphrased for purposes of a post

I will repeat the important part: I voted in ignorance and later admitted that when doing further research, Mottie, Aveatry and many others on here are still desperately believing the propaganda of vote leave and wont accept the abundant evidence which now exists

lets be honest, the rise of Reform is just another Brexit "will of the people" con job

Reform 2029, if not sooner. Nigel will be your Prime Minister Notch.
the people who would suffer the most from a Reform government are the saps that vote for it

just like fishermen who voted for brexit

The real question is why didn't reform win ?

But anybody but them appears to factor in
not when you look at the facts:

not when you look at the facts
the facts show the polling putting Reform on 42% and Plaid Cymru on 38% were miles wron

the facts show significant tactical voting because people are so scared of the danger of a Reform govt destroying this country

it turns out people dont want Farage in power flogging the UK to foreign interests for a quick buck
