Laminate mosaic stair risers

hi!
I need some help and/or some pictures if anyone knows or have any of the risers done in tile or mosaic after applying hardwood flooring.(laminate) i can't convince my husband that it is a good idea and would look great. As many of you may know, it is very expensive, to do the whole stair in hardwood.
