Hi,
I want to lay laminate, ideally straight over ceramic tiles in a through kitchen/dining room.
The tiles are approx 30cm square, flat topped, but obviously have a slight bevel on the edges where they are grouted (dip probably 1.5-2 mm from high to low. They are laid over concrete.
Can I cover this variation up using thicker laminate underlay or am I asking for trouble? The floor is pretty cold and I was anyway considering using 6mm boards as used for insulating underfloor heating etc.
Alternative is to use self levelling over whole floor (will it stick to tiles if primed with PVA?), or nightmare scenario, rip them all up and relevel.
Any advice gladly recieved.
Matt
