Who do we need?

With the ice caps melting in our garden (I kid ye not) and the heavy rainfall today, we have flooding. Our garden level is higher than the house.

Water's accumulating at the door ways and sides of the house.

Would we want to lower the garden level? - mammoth task due to the size of the garden which is level with the roads...

match the level of the garden, somehow???

Install a drainage pipe to take flowing waters to the neighbouring fields? How would this work?

or just invest in a damn big pile of sandbags??? it does eventually drain, we just dont know where to and I have no idea what our foundations are like in our 100 year old house...

who would be best to advise us??

many thanks...

you probably need a drainage company, or a landscaper who knows about land drains. where in UK are you?

I'm in scotland. Actually have a cousin who has a drainage company so might try and track him down for some advice. Many thanks for your reply!
