I shall be travelling to both the USA and Australia (not business orientated) and wish to be able to make use of email etc while I'm away. (Hotmail)
I have checked out a few sites offering "services" but nothing seems really clear cut. As I shall be away a while, I don't want a huge bill piling up for when I get back.
Anyone any experience of doing this who can offer some help?

You are quite right Breezer, it's just as I have my laptop with me for other reasons, I thought I might as well use it at my own convienence.

I think you can arrange with the bank to pay the bill for you on a direct debit system.

I found a really good site at netaway.com, which offer "local" dialing numbers for most places in the world for a fixed payment. - dead cheap
