Hi

I have had a problem with a leaking seal around a bath. The walls are obviously not true as I have a large gap in one corner and hardly a gap in other places. Is there something I can use before sealing to reduce the gap or give a footing to the sealant?

expanding foam?

just make sure you dont pump so much down there it starts to push the bath away from the wall.

How wide is the gap at it's largest point? You can use an oversized seal, or trim/moulding as steve suggests. Are there still tiles to fit?

fit a timber rail to the wall that is filleted to accommodate, and then trims and silicone.

Or hack the plaster off the wall on the tight side to get a better fit

Yup! Cut into the wall/tiles... Or You will be forever filling that gap...
