Our bath leaks at the short end. It has recently been resealed, but seems the short end opposite the tap end, has not been done properly. Can I remove the seal at just the end and reseal? If so, how will the new seal be watertight in the corner where the old seal will "meet" the new seal?

Or do u have to remove the whole seal?

However, there is a lot of sealant, due to the gap between the bath and tiles being about 3/4inch, so had to fill gap with lots of sealer, and then planned to make it look neat with some sealant tape

Thank you

Sounds hideous, 3/4" would have been better made up with tiles, then a small amount of silicone as required. Silicone is sticky when wet so it'll stick to the old seal then dry to be watertight. No idea what you mean by sealant tape
