I hope you learned chaps can answer my question.....This is my current mower blade, excuse my nievity but should it be shaped like this....Im afraid I cannot recollect what it looked like when new.....and if it is originally shaped like this how does it cut an even width

The blade shape is fairly typical - the ends are turned up to throw the clippings into the grass box. If the ends weren't turned up, then they'd be called mulching blades and the grass wouldn't be picked up. So long as the curves on the blade are symettrical and there isn't an obvious bend then it'll be ok.
I sharpen these things with an angle grinder - equally so they remain in balance. (I can't see how bad the cutting edges are, so Andy's comment may be correct).
Blades don't need to be sharp along their length - the flying tips cut the grass anyway.
As you have it, the blade bolts onto the blade boss the way it is. Just see that the alloy pegs on the boss are still there to locate the blade....not all machines have them, and if yours doesn't then it will have a domed sprung washer that compresses against the blade, locking it there.
Treat the bolt heads to a smear of coppaslip grease when you reassemble.
