hey,

i have a cable going from my house out to the garden for some lights, problem is i am sick of the cable just being slung around the edge of the patio and now want to tidy it up. the slabs meet up close to the wall where the cable came out, is it possible to cut a notch in the slab close to the wall so that my cable can go down and under? is it likely i will break the slab??

suggestions?

thankyou.

if it is mains lighting then no, it should be all wire armoured cable, and buried acordingly.

if it is low voltage i.e 12 or 24v then put it in conduit under the slabs

It is doubtful there will be enough slack in the system to bury the cable to the correct depth.

You want to lay a cable in the garden !!!!

Go behind a bush and use a wide leaf .

Sorry , I couldn't resist that.
