Hi I am going to lay a hardwood block floor ( 4inch X 18 inch ) over approximatly 15 square metres The floor is slightly uneven. I am contemplating making it a floating floor and using a laminate floor underlay It this advisory. Many thanks Bootsie

You blocks are too small and too short to install floating.
Level out your underfloor as best as possible, make sure it's dry and fully glue the blocks to the (new) underfloor.

thanks for the reply but do I use anything under the blocks at all or just glue straight to the concrete. I also have to rip up some old floor tiles that have been glued down what is the best way to remove these.Many thanx bootsie XX
you should lay a smoothing compound over the subfloor and then glue direct to this. ( no underlay etc )
