Could anyone help...
Do I need to firstly lay down plywood onto new concrete (in bathroom) before tiling, or can the ceramic tiles be layed straight onto the concrete ?

Thanks

Provided it is completly dry, not just the surface then Yes you can tile straight to the concrete or is it screed, assume it's a ground floor bathroom.

Thanks Jason.

Although it's a new build, the concrete has dried.

However, it's situated in an apartment on the 3rd floor - does this make a difference :?:

Thanks.

If they are new apartments then the floor will be beam & block or metal profile with concrete over the top. Either way you can tile straight onto the top.

Avoid the premixed "tile concrete floors" and use a powdered adhesive & separate powdered grout. If you need to use the bathroom the same day go for a rapid set adhesive as this will take light foot traffic after approx 3hrs, allow 24hrs befor grouting.
