I'm laying approx 125mm of MOT and would like to lay slabs ontop of this. What is the best way to do this ? I was going to use sand and cement. Also I will be close to the damp course but below it, the patio will slope away from the house is there a problem with this.
Thanks

Ideally you should be 6" below the dpc but in reality it probably won't be a big problem as long as you are below it by at least a few inches. but i'd advise on doing it properly for your own peace of mind and a surveyor will pick up on it if and when you come to sell.

You dont really need that depth of MOT under normal circumstances, what is the ground like and what depth have you dug itout to?
