Now that is an expensive way to do a re roof I would imagine.
Bit of a specialist job soldering lead.
Would you not be better off using some of the better and also of course more expensive welded joint flat roof systems now on the market ?

As legs-akimbo said very expensive and very heavy as well ! Tell us more about your roof. How big is it etc ?

Depends on the size of your shed roof, but welding or led burning as it is known would not be a good option for the main joints as it does not allow the sheets of lead to expand & contract.

Assuming it is a pitched roof you will need to fix what are called lead rolls down the slope, spaced to suit the width of lead, then dress the lead over these rolls. thats the basics but it is a bit more involved than that as the lead needs clipping to stop wind lifting it.

The size of roof will determine the areas of lead, you can only do a certain size area with a single piece of lead of a given weight (thickness) let us know the sizes & type of roof.

Also need to make sure the roof will support the added weight!

Lay the lead on a spun fabric like BDM
