Hi

Just got a large extension done on my property and the lead valley is wide and lone. The problem is it's leaking all the time. Had a local roofer out and he has told me that they should have used at least a code 5 lead on such a large valley. They also seem to have used the wrong nails as all my tradesmen who have to go up into my loft are having to dodge nails. There is also rust appearing with the damp patches. Can any one offer some advice please.

Building a large (horizontal) lead valley is a highly skilled and rather technical process.

Due to the expansion problems regarding lead then the valley would need to be stepped to deal with the laps involved.

Any chance of a piccie?
