Leak on a small section of tiled roof

A couple more questions on this please:

I’ve put the eves tray in situ as I didn’t have any cutting device to hand. It’s now poking out by 20cm - off the verge. Can I use my multi cutter (with wood blade) to cut this off?

Also, do I need to wait for the weather to improve before I cement the tile verge? I read something about not doing this in low temperatures
 
Sorry, but I don't understand. The eve tray is currently extending beyond the end of the roof (beyond the undercloak). I don't understand how it can be overlapped. The eve tray is made of a rigid material and can't be bent around or overlapped.
