I have had the same problems as many others, water leaking onto my bay roof internally,no idea how or where its coming from ! Tried moving upstairs windows forward, sealing external walls, putting a tray in,re-pointing,re-felting&slating , all to no avail ,any ideas apart from moving ?
The water seems to be coming down the internal brickwork of the cavity.

Ive noticed ive had around 46 folk read my post but not 1 reply !! Surely someone must know something about my plight ?

If it is coming down the cavity, then a properly fitted cavity tray will stop it

And if its coming down the cavity it will exit in a line on the ceiling where the wall or lintel is.

If you can't find the cause, then you will have to remove the plaster ceiling to see what gets damp next time it rains
