The unions are seeping on the gravity circuit of my old Ideal boiler where the 28mm copper pipes join into the cast-iron. I'm a bit wary of trying to tighten (or loosen) them after 30-odd years in case something gives way. Do any of the repair compounds really work in a case like this where the temperature varies quite a bit? Any recommendations (but not a new boiler please ;o)?
