We had new UPVC windows fitted through the house in 2014. Noticed a very small damp/mould spot area last winter but cleaned it up and though nothing more. This year with the heavier driving rains, the water has come back 100 x worse! The window is on the flank wall and gets the full brunt of the weather, we though the problem may have been a rotten gable end in the roof but we have had this fixed and it hasn't resolved the issue. The builders also checked the wall for any issues with the bricks and pointing but advised me that it was all sound. The paint, plaster and window sill are all affect. Any ideas? I think that 1st pic is the top of the window?
If so you have a leak above the window somewhere getting into the cavity, Possibly the roof. Can you post an outside pic including the window, roof and wall around the window.

Also you may want to take a look in your attic

That's right ignore the rest, water doesn't run uphill so start above the window and work down! Was a cavity tray or some DPC removed above the window to make room for it, is there a catnic above, does it have weep vents?
