I keep finding a tear drop sized drip coming down the threaded fitting which holds my toilet cistern to its bowl.

Is there an easier way to seal the joint up with having to dismantle the joint and fit a new gasket/grommet?

Personally, I would fit a new seal. Its not worth all the hassle for the sake of half an hours work and a few coppers for a new seal.

It might be the bolthole that is leaking, in which case replacing the donut washer will be a fruitless exercise.
