Last couple of times we had our bathroom fitted we ended up with the same leak where the tap is fitted to the top of the bath, and when you shower the water collects around the tap and leaks through where the seat of the tap meets the top of the bath.
So this isn’t a pipe or the mechanism of the tap but literally where the tap is fixed to the bath itself.
As it’s been fitted all the installation instructions are thrown away.
Does anyone have any advice how to fit the tap properly to the bath so that it is watertight? Last time I ran a bead of transparent sealant around the base and it was functional it I was never happy with the appearance. I mean is there a rubber washer or something you can use? As it’s a new installation the fittings are relatively easy to work with so be great to nip it in the bud. Thanks
