Leasing a Van

○ New or Used it has to be reliable.
○ it needs to be big enough for all my tools.

New will be reliable.
Anything used is a roulette wheel.

○ Whats the future with Diesel?
○ Is petrol a better bet?
○ Hybrid is so expensive

Diesel is useless for short start-stop journeys, far more suitable for extended motorway driving.
Petrol better for shorter journeys.
Both diesel and petrol will get more expensive.
Hybrid is the worst of everything bundled up into a package of expensive complexity. When they go wrong - good luck with that.

○ The school I work at will have charging posts when its built in 2 - 3 years time.
• So to early to buy Electric.

Electric vehicles are only of use if you have somewhere to charge them overnight. As you don't, an electric vehicle is a poor choice.
Public charging is expensive and inconvenient if using it every day.
What a school may have installed in several years time isn't relevant today and even if they did exist now, they will be AC charging of the same type used overnight for charging - as in it will take several hours to add a modest amount of driving distance.
