Leaving wago connectors inside light fitting?

Fair enough, but I couldn't possibly know that.
Didn't stop you having a dig at me though.
Although you've been a member of DIYnot for a little longer than me (14-15 years), I very rarely look at anything in DIYnot other than this Electrics forum and, until a couple of months ago, you'd only ever posted about 9 messages here in the preceding 14 years!.
Because I was active on another forum which I preferred until they altered it and messed about wit the rules, so I left. Pete, me and one other have been involved in a personal chat since 2023.

Ok? Is that alright with you?

Crying? ... and "restart" what? - a vendetta?
Are you the member with the most messages? Nearly 58000 that's some going.

Is there some sort of top members list here?

Possibly - I haven't got a clue in terms of DIYnot in general but, as far as this Electrics forum is concerned, whilst there are some others in the 40k's but I'm not aware of anyone with more than me - but 'so what?' :-).

Before he decided to leave (he said because of behaviour of the mods/admin), he was always the 'winner'- in his very last post before he left (click here) , he had totted up 69,755. That was around 5 years ago -so if he'd stayed, goodness knows how high his count would be today :-)

I neither know nor care :-)

No, it definitely didn't stop me. I do try to 'return compliments' whenever I can.

Fair enough - but, as I wrote, there was no way I could have known that. You could be a buddy of the King for all I know!

We both used to be on the screwfix forum,
Fair enough - but, as I've written to him, there's no way that I could have known that.
you ever been on it?
No. I've sometimes 'had a look' at it, usually because Google searches have sent me there, but, in general, I have kept well away from it :-)

Kind Regards, John

It's been a while...

I'm a bit confused, or maybe am 'missing something'. Although the body of the light does, indeed, bear a double-insulated' symbol, in what sense is the connector thingy on the right 'double insulated'? There appear to be exposed terminal screws that look as if they will only be covered by one layer of insulation when the cover is put on the thingy - or is this perhaps a "reinforced" case of "double or reinforced insulation"?
Yes I agree with you, it would appear that the top and possibly the bottom of the connecters as you say would indeed be single insulated, but the instructions I have seen with similar fittings, insinuate that there supplied box needs to be used.
I assume somewhere they may have been tested and conform, never looked close to see if they actually have a DI mark.
Personally I feel the manufacturer of most things especially lighting has cheapened over time
