Hi I have a job to do for someone after I have finished there will be no1 in the premises for around a day and half. Obviously finishing work and turning the water off after testing for leaks isn't really an option. Though I turn water off in voids if I ever work in one. Any thoughts on this?

Do I stay for an hour to check for leaks.
You certainly should check for any leaks after completing whatever work it was.
Why that would take an hour is unclear - if something is leaking it will be obvious immediately.
