I just replaced one of my light fittings with an LED fitting.

On operating the new light with the existing dimmer switch there is lots of flickering and buzzing when switching on and when dimming the lights. (The light unit is dimmable).
After a while the flickering settles down but the buzzing remains.

I figured this would be due to the existing dimmer switch not being suitable for leds.

However on removing the switch it says on the back that is is LED compatible. (Note sure how old the switch is)

I noticed there's a tiny dial on the back of the switch

Does anyone know if there's some adjustments I need to make using that dial in order to resolve the flickering and buzzing.

Or is it the case that this switch is not compatible with my fitting despite saying it's Led compatible

Is the LED "fitting"
(or the LED Lamp within it -if any)
actually rated as dimmable ?
It's the fitting.

I.e the complete unit has dimmable control gear. ( Dimmable led Driver)
The actual leds in the unit are the non replaceable type

60 VA is one heck of an output for a LED lamp, but on hunting it does seem these will work with 5 watt LED, but always best to keep to the same make, dimmer and lamp.

Personally, if I want to dim a lamp, I use a smart bulb, I dumped dimmer switches years ago, when CFL came out.
