The long LED strips are generally voltage driven - 12V ones have 3 chips and a resistor in series per section. Apply a fixed voltage (nominally 12V) and the resistor sets the current through each section - the total current taken depends on the length of the strip.

If you Google image or shopping search for "LED power supply" and look for things that have a similar rectangular enclosure to the one you're considering, you'll see that most of then have a mains lead that is a two-core sheathed cable. Or they'll have internal terminals and a cable clamp, to which you can fit such a cable.
Shouldn't be a problem.
