Your windows product key is often on the disc packet.

Never get got a disc with the laptop, it has no DD.
Which was a bit awkward when I bought a USB Network Adspter that came with a - Driver Disk !

You shouldn't need a product key to recover a Win10 machine unless you replace the HDD.
normally the key details are on a sticker on the underside of the computer or in the paperwork supplied with the machine.

I had already checked underneath, and am hunting for paperwork . But I will need it to enter ?

Apparently if the LT came we it’s Win10 installed, you don’t need a PK, and you don’t have to Activate it. (Can’t recall if I did or not). The recovery USB will pick it up somehow.

So have ordered it and we will see.

Search "Win10 Recovery USB" and follow guidance on there for getting to the recovery partion on your PC.

The £14.99 recovery USB arrived today, and after 10 minutes of messing about, it all worked. it only took about 10/15 minutes, once I got it going, I assumed it would be ages.
