Leveling a floor.

Hi, just wondered if anyone can help me?

I am looking to tile my kitchen floor, as I am fitting a new kitchen. After ripping everything out, I have found the floor to be a mixture of mdf, ply and random other stuff making the sub floor. I am looking to tile over the floor, but do not know how to level floor and get ready for tiling.

I'd get the mdf up and the other stuff. What's under all that?
