Levelling floor where hearth stone removed

Hi,

We have removed an old log burner from our living room and the hearthstone and there is no flooring underneath. The rest of the room is a kardean vinyl and floor is concrete and we want to put carpet down. What’s the best way to level the floor before we put the carpet down?

Sorry it took a while to come back to you. Difference in level is about 4mm I would think. Couple of photos attached.

Floor levelling compound- maybe with some similar material on top but probably not
The carpet fitter should advise

Some rapid repair motar like Ardex A45 would work there. Or use a screeding compound
