While |London's rather expensive new train service will be opening up shortly. Well over budget I hear. Looks very posh too.

B'ham had a paintbrush style train station upgrade a while ago now. One of the busiest in the country. How to increase capacity - 1/2 the size of the platforms and number accordingly.

New looks are a matter of taste but it is different. I also think trains have to slow on section of track due to crap uneven rails.

They need to stop with all the bullcrap slogans and simply have a genuine, long term and properly funded strategy to enhance the economic situation 'up north.' Dare I say even a cross-party strategy so it's seen through if a change in government.
