A blatant lie about the NHS

Dunno about you but if I were put in charge of say, a rushed big building project and I knew mates in the game, I’d pump it out to them rather than risk it to strangers. Only fair.
AKA nepotism/corruption...
Furthermore, if for example, I had a big building company and I wanted to branch out or specialise in say, double glazing and I needed to take on someone to run that project, who would you think would be suitable for the job - somebody with experience and contacts in the double glazing industry or someone with no experience or contacts. Now, apply that logic to government ministers.
You mean something like giving a ferry contract to a newly created company with no ferries?

Or a newly created company paid to provide non existent PPE?

Still care to 'apply that logic to government ministers'?

Exactly. I'm just showing folk who those dip sticks are - Tory lobbyists turned politician. Those dipsticks have been trying to flog off the NHS (bit by bit) for years.

Isn't that called 'juggling your resources'?
I suppose there's a few suitable euphemisms: taking stock, balancing the books, keeping all your balls in the air, etc.

I really cant understand why these fools don't just elect someone else.
Every few years a pencil is lent to a largely uneducated/apathetic electorate and they are urged to tick a box based on lies they have been told...

After that they effectively have no say until the next pencil lending charade, and in the meantime corrupt politicians and unelected UKcrats rule their lives.

Thus an election is simply the turning over of a dung heap and seeing which turd rises to the top, whilst the illusion of 'living in a democracy' is maintained!

That is why PR style democracies produce more stable, and better governance than simple bare majority democracies.
Bare majority democracies are often won by the populist politicians. I'm not using 'populism' in this instance to refer to extreme style politics, but merely to politicians that adopt current populist policies, simply in order to be elected. They then go on to purse their own agenda irrespective of the policies on which they were elected, unless the two coincide, but that is invariably a single policy issue.

Berlusconi?
For sure, there's always going to be aberrations, look at Trump for one.
Berlusconi is a corrupt politician. You can't design a system to avoid corrupt politicians because they'll find a way around it. You can design a system to hold politicians to account. Whether they are held to account or not, is up to the integrity of those remaining in the system.

Let us remember, or perhaps the US GOP ought to remember, that Berlusconi returned to politics, to lead his party, after his temporary suspension from politics.
There are other similarities between Trump and Berlusconi.

Edit: Ha, just been reading about the similarities between Berlusconi and Trump:

A number of writers and political commentators consider Berlusconi's political success a precedent for the 2016 election of real estate tycoon Donald Trump
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvio_Berlusconi#:~:text=Berlusconi rapidly rose to the, months after having been launched.
A Teflon politician. Does that apply to BJ as well?
Wow, the similarities accumulate:
Ongoing trials
Abuse of office
Bribery of senators
Defamation
Soliciting minors for sex

Ongoing investigations
etc.

"NHS GP practice operator with 500,000 patients passes into hands of US health insurer

Merger with Centene Corp covers 500,000 patients fuelling calls for inquiry into ‘NHS privatisation by stealth’"

https://www.theguardian.com/society...Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1614370925

"Objectors are concerned because they claim the change of control was approved for eight practices in the London boroughs of Camden, Islington and Haringey in a virtual meeting on 17 December that lasted less than nine minutes, during which no mention was made of Centene and not a single question was asked.

The approval was granted by the North Central London clinical commissioning group (NCL CCG), a local NHS body that purchases health services from GPs, hospitals and others using taxpayer funds."
