I am taking up the old floor in my kitchen myself but the kitchen units will remains.
Ive taken off the visible tiles so far with relative ease. Using an electric hammer chisel tiles are coming up with a layer of the cement board under so the tile is coming up almost whole.

Under the plinths though I have two options. Lift a full tile or keep it to the legs. My tiler said he will not tile passed the leg anyway as he isn't going to slide a tile under each leg. He said we had agreed he tiles to the front legs and therefore the plinth will cover it completely.

So I know how to lift full tiles, but how do I remove partial tile and keep it neat. Otherwise theyre just jiggidy jaggedy.

Probably use a grinder, or multi tool, you can get depth adjusters with them but have not tried
