Hi,
Not sure of this question should be posted under the building regulations forum. It's specific to Electrics so have posted here first.
My missus has arrived home with a light fitting that I'm ordered to put up but which, due to the design, isn't going to be able to house the rose. My immediate solution is to move the connections into a junction box above the plaster board ceiling and just bring down the live / neutral wires for the fitting light fitting itself. This means the junction box will effectively be sited in the loft immediately above the light fitting.
Am I in breach of any electrics regulation if I do that. I can't find any to suggest that I am but I'd be grateful if anyone here who is an expert could offer any opinion ?
Thanks.
