hi, one arm on this this 5 bulb thing has collapsed. So safety concerned.

How can I get rid of whole thing and fit a normal one bulb light , or do I need an electrician ?

It's replaced by turning off the power at the fusebox/consumer unit, removing what is there and fitting a normal pendant set.

Whether you require an electrician or can do it yourself depends on your abilities.
In terms of electrical work it's a fairly easy thing to do.

Ability, i have only ever wired a plug.
So googled pendant set and how to install.
I'm thinking about it , but probably will get electrician.
thanks

I think that is wise.

The fact that you have asked shows, at the very least, that you don't have the tools or equipment.

There may be three or more cables - nine or more wires above to reconnect.
