Light switch/plug socket!

Two of my lights will not switch on...they are on the same dimmer switch and I have obviously changed the bulbs!
I checked they worked in the other rooms dimmer plug socket and they worked fine. I also checked another working lamp from another room and it did not work in my room!
So what do I do now, short of calling an electrician!?

If the bulb(s) have recently gone pop, it's likely they took the dimmer with them, it often happens.

If you feel confident to replace the dimmer, do so, otherwise call a sparks.

I'll get my brother to change the dimmer switch.
Is it likely that both bulbs connected to the dimmer blew at the same time, or does this mean there may be something more serious?
