: :oops: i have tryed to wire a two pole light switch in so my back bedroom light would work from the same switch as my loft light but my light trips on switch off how can i get around this prblem in my loft i have a twoway single pole switch at the bottom of the stairs i have a doublepole
switch but i cant seem to get the wiring in the correct order to make it work

Your using the incorrect switches, you need a two way switch on both ends with the corect wiring between. Not sure why you have a double pole switch in the first place.
 
And if that rather curt reply wasn't enough - have a look in the 'reference 'section, and if you cant make it match up with what you have, post us a picture.
