Hi I am looking to re-wire my lighting circuit in my house as I am in the process of renovating it. I have coped in two images of the up and down stairs lighting arrangement I want, but because most of the down stairs and hall way lighting has two switches I am not really sure how to do it and what cable I need.

well you need to decide whether you are going to have your loop thru at the switches or lights.

For example upstairs you may been using ceiling roses and want to loop thru at the light.

Down stairs you maybe having fancy lights and wall lights where its not easy to loop thru at the lights, and want to loop thru at the switches.

Hi AndyPRK I would be looping through the lights I have done most of the up stairs and I used the light roses to loop through, But down stairs and on the landing Is what I am having trouble with, in the living room I have LED lights and the main light that need to be controlled individually from a switch on either side of the room.
