I need to get some lighting in my loft. I would like to go for 3 60w or 100w bulbs.

Should I wire them in a ring or seperate spurs from a junstion box?

take a feed from the lighting circuit (from a ceiling rose or junction box) to a switch, live into com, neutral into connector block, out from the switch with live into L1, neutral into the connector block, make sure both earths goto the brass earth point in the box. then to each light in turn, no need for a ring at all, thats a peculiarity limited to socket circuits, which was brought about by a copper shortage at the same time as an increase in demand of power in homes.

Oh, and I'd probably go for fluorescent strip lights instead of incandesant lamps
