Lighting a room in the LED age?

I had received injections a few times before I caught it. And managed to not catch it from my wife. But it was the time of misinformation, we were told so many things which were latter found not to be true. The problem now is I simply don't believe what government representatives say, be it lies or truth, I treat it with a bit of Cheshire gold (pinch of salt) be it climate change, or anything else, I read now the South Pole ice cap is increasing in size, clearly there is climate change but which way?

But we have rules and regulations, including how long items must be supported for, I think it was 7 years, maybe I have it wrong, but fluorescent fittings were still being sold new less than 7 years ago.

I tried to get the wife to select something else, but she insisted on a chandelier that used 5 x G9 bulbs. The G9 quartz bulb needed containment, so that should the bulb have ionisation, the exploding bits could not land on items and set them alight. So each bulb had a glass bowl of some sort which screwed over the bulb to retain any bits.

However, this means there is a maximum diameter for any replacement bulb, so the dome will fit over the bulb, so there was a maximum size for the LED replacement shown as small bulb here. G9-comp.jpg However to get enough light, and to have resistors large enough to get rid of capacitive and inductive linking, the bulb needed to be like the larger version shown, and the covers would not fit, so the whole chandelier look was changed. IMGP0870_1.jpg I ended up with a collection of bulbs before I got it to work OK with LED, and I think she realised to say she did not like the new look, was not a prudent move. So she said she liked it.

The cob bulb 1750176058851.pngdoes send the light in a very different direction to the normal bulb, and the replacement found does not comply with British regulations, no stated wattage, or lumen output, but it works. However, I could not have bought one over the counter of my local supplier due to lack of wattage and lumen.

So should it fail, I could not replace like for like, so I have 4 in stock. I also have GU10 and E14 in stock, but that is because either smart versions fitted, or my daughter complained about headache with new lighting. As to how someone works out what lights are OK and which are not, when they do not affect oneself I do not know?

It wasn't the government that was doing the lying, it was all those saying that there was no virus, or it was no worse than flu, and the vaccine was actually to kill people or inject some kind of Bill Gates mind-control nanobots.

Sadly some people were stupid enough to believe the lies.

For pity's sake.
