lighting for next shelf unit

I am looking to light each shelf on my unit but don't want to drill holes etc.
Can someone please suggest the best type of lighting I could use.

have had a look at battery lighting but can't find any suitable. If you know of any that would be suitable I would appreciate that.

Are LED strips any use, the need plugged in though.

don't want to drill holes etc.

Anything not battery powered will need a cable running to it which will have to enter the shelving unit somehow, which means at least one hole somewhere.
