Hi
I am currently renovating a kitchen in our 1840s house. The kitchen is in a single storey extension with a pitched roof.
I wish to install downlights into the ceiling however the depth between the plaster board and the felt which lies under the external roof slates is only 75mm. I intend on insulating this void with 50mm Celotex insulation prior to fixing the plasterboard.

Does anyone know where I can get downlights (preferrably eyeball lights) that will fit this space?

Many Thanks

You could add 50mm fillets (just fix 50 x 50 to the existing joists) to the existing roof joists and drop the ceiling gap to 125mm.

Depends how far the refurbishment is going, although to run the cable you would have to break the existing boards anyway.
