You are also allowed to fit pre-assembled units, Blagdon did a range of these for the garden, well more aimed at the pond. Personally I don't like the Blagdon system I feel a hard wired system is better, but it does tick the Part P (Wales) boxes.
Ericmark, do you have a link to one of those? You suggest it's NOT hard wired, so how is it wired? Ta.
If I understand correctly, they are just glorified extension leads and do not relate to what you are doing.
