I have a 900 type c to go over a window on ground floor of extension, the window is 600.

my bond means the lintel will rest on a half block on one side and a quarter on the other (plus slightly on to next full block)

do I need to have a full block directly under both sides?

End bearing wants to be 150mm on solid masonry rather than having to be on a whole block

900mm lintel 600mm opening means 150mm bearing either side, unless I’m very much mistaken. As long as the masonry is sound then there isn’t an issue.

Sorry, the lintel would be going where the spirit level is and will span 150mm beyond each side.

My worry was the quarter and half blocks it will be resting on
