If they say black, it could be an immigrant or someone who was born here just like his parents and grandparents could have been.

Policy is still developing. There might not be a simple solution. I think everyone will agree, though, that it is very sad that the police have to spend time and energy worrying about how to appease a bunch of racists, rather than concentrating on doing their job in the most effective way. But we will live in a social media age. Let's all support our police and hope they find a way which works.

No one likes that idea.

Some racist arseholes decided that the killer was an asylum seeker and decided to burn some others to death and to hunt Muslims in the streets. I think it's probably fair to say everyone who lined up outside an asylum seeker hotel or tried to trash a mosque was a racist arsehole.

The Southport killer might well have been a racist as well. But I'm not sure that equating the Farage rioters to the killer is where you want to go.
