location of combi boiler

As this boiler was IP20 it must be installed outside zone two, ie 3 metres away.

For ipx0 it would indeed be 3 metres. Which boiler was that?

Dear all, Thank you for your very informed responce.

Im on the Warmfront merry-go-round......

Also unemployed at moment so watching cash - hence warmfront route.

No bath in bathroom - just shower , sink and loo.

Just wanted more space in the airing cupboard -but i guess they see it as 'an improvement'

It was the Ideal booklet (I was assuming warmfront).
My company don't install boilers in bathrooms unless theyre in a cupboard, maybe just a company rule then.

It is a good solution for an ipx0 rated appliance to stick it in a compartment, but it is not a general requirement.
