Loft conversion - not felting

I am not going to felt my roof as it is in mint condition. The back pointing is still sitting there like glue.

So my question is, will a 25mm air gap be ok rather than 50mm. i intend on putting 75mm kingspan between and 50mm over the rafters.

i will also foam up any gaps, tape up the 50mm kingspan joins.

i include a pic of the roof internally.

Hi. Have you considered foaming the joints?

i would have thought the joins just need to be taped up as they should butt up together pretty well. i will do if the gap if too excess.
