Hello everyone new to the forum and need a little help.
I have acquired a set of alarm boxes (they replaced the full system at work) which includes four CD3008 keypads that I would like to use in a system I am putting together for a narrow boat. I plan to use a "LinkIt ONE" board for its GPS and sensor capabilities for water/fuel tanks etc.
I would like to use the keypad to interact with the controller board as it has a 2 line 16 character LCD and LEDs.
It uses a four wire connector for DC in and what I assume is a comms connection (RS232?) that I would like to find more information about.
Initially I would use the pre-programmed messages in the on board chip (NEC D75008CU-186) as some of them are meaningful for my application.
Any help would be appreciate.
(Except "ditch the units")
